About Chad

Born in 2003, I picked up the guitar at age eight alongside my identical twin brother, Sean, after being inspired by my older brother Ryan and a family friend, Eric Witt — a guy who could grab everyone’s attention the second he started playing. That spark made me wonder, what’s the power of this instrument? From that moment, I was hooked.

In sixth grade, I discovered Led Zeppelin and completely fell in love with music. Sean and I performed “Stairway to Heaven” at our middle school talent show, and when everyone thought we were faking it because it sounded too real, I knew I was onto something. I spent the next several years sharpening my craft — studying at Onstage Music Academy, where I learned guitar, bass, drums, mandolin, vocals, and recording. Later, I trained at Huntington Beach High School’s renowned Academy of the Performing Arts (APA) in the MMET program for pop and rock, while performing in jazz band and multiple bands. I eventually graduated from California State University, Long Beach with a B.A. in Anthropology and a minor in Music, combining creativity with an understanding of culture and people.

I’ve been a working musician since age 12 — gigging two to three times a week, touring, and collaborating with incredible artists. I’ve shared stages with legends like Pink Floyd’s Scott Page, members of Toto and Supertramp, and Elliot Easton of The Cars, and have worked with songwriters tied to David Bowie, Van Halen, and more. The songs I have produced have gathered over 2.2 million streams, and I’ve had years of session experience with Bob Clearmountain’s team — one of the most respected mixing engineers in the world.

As the guitarist and vocalist for Familiar Faces, I’ve headlined festivals from the Utah Salt Flats to Las Vegas, and bring a powerful mix of musicianship and audio engineering to every performance. Whether it’s ripping a solo, slapping the bass like Davie 504, singing with soul, blending tight harmonies, or handling live or studio sound, I deliver with precision, feel, and positive energy.

At the end of the day, I’m not just a musician — I’m a full-package creative with real-world experience, a deep love for the craft, and a mindset built on professionalism, collaboration, and passion. If you’re looking for someone who can perform, produce, engineer, and bring killer energy to your project or event — I’m your guy.
